The Terra da Auga Rally changes its surname and begins to define itself for 2021
The Galician event will be the fourth scoring event for the Spanish Rally Championship of Spain and the second event of the Spanish Cup for Gravel Rallies, to be held on June 4 and 5, 2021. As of this year, the event’s surname changes, becoming ‘Rally Terra da Auga – Camiño de Santiago’ in a clear commitment to promoting tourism in the area, taking advantage of the celebration of the Xacobeo 2021-2022.
The route of this edition of the rally is already practically defined, offering participants a compact route with about 130 timed kilometers. All the specials will have novelties compared to previous seasons, developing a completely new stretch. The general scheme of the test will focus on the Arzúa region and its surroundings, some locations still having to be specified, but working to offer teams and fans the greatest possible amenities.
As usual, the organization is making an effort to attract pilots of international stature to give more caché to the event, confirming the participation of Nasser Al-Attiyah, who will carry out the entire CERT. The triple winner of the Dakar Rally will try to redeem himself from last year’s experience in the Arzuana test where he had to withdraw in the beginning due to a breakdown.
